Hey penguins. I have recently seen many people on Twitter and many people leaving comments on the blog, saying that they are not happy with what is going on with Club Penguin. I mean yes there are a lot of bugs, and yes there are not many free member items, but what is really your problem with C.P.? (If you have one) I mean, I have been playing this game since 2006, and honestly, I don't see many things that have gone in the wrong direction. Yes, changes have been made, but in my opinion they have been for the better. The only one I didn't like was the new newspaper. So my question to you is, what's going on?
Is Club Penguin Moving In The Right Direction?

Club Penguin repeats parties, doesn't have the greatest customer support clientele, but, is that really the problem here? Honestly, almost every product fades. Why, because something new comes out, or it runs it's natural course. And yes, Club Penguin is a product. This course is called the product life cycle. Here is a demonstration of the cycle.
This is the natural course for every product that comes out on the market. It's introduced, for Club Penguin that is 2005/2006, it has grown, and maybe now it is maturing. Soon to be followed by the decline. Honestly, based on most of the complaints I have heard from you, there isn't much C.P. can do to make you guys happy. So maybe it is just running this course. Think about it. I hear a lot of complaints about the E.P.F. Honestly, if it was introduced back in 2007/2008, I don't think those kids could get enough of it. It's a great idea and it is an upgrade. Especially because you can still go back to the old stuff. So what do you think about Club Penguin? Is it thriving, or are you not loving it as much as you used to? Let me know in a comment...

ReplyDeleteAwesome post! I think people hate the new updates because Disney made them. I don't really see the big deal...
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with you there. Club Penguin is not on a decline, and we can not blame Disney Online. The company is still at it's youth and we can't make any judgements about how they're running the company right now. All we know is, Club Penguin is still at it's peak with more than 12 million active online players. To my knowledge, I know that Club Penguin resets their database so that inactive players (players who have not played in two months are deleted). Even so, they still maintain the popularity and word-of-mouth that their players have provided. Disney amplified this by 60% So, Club Penguin is still a great company, and I'm proud to say so.

Dear "ZR"
ReplyDeleteWithout Disney, right now Club Penguin would've not even made it to this point for penguins around the world to play. You have to admit - Club Penguin needed Disney. This game is meant for kids, not really for 15 year olds. Mainly all of the users complaining about the updates are about 15 years old. In the kids' world, they like it and find it fun. Things change, and Club Penguin has to change with them in order to stay in the game.

I blame this all on Saraapril and my cousin.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for Saraapril is that she can never talk about anything positive. Bugs, bugs, bugs and I'm tired of it. She blames Club Penguins "failures" on the Club Penguin Tech Team, and Club Penguin Support. She "claims" nobody reads her emails shes sent in, when they have. And Club Penguins Bugs are sometimes the Computers problems. I have never witnessed half of the Bugs Saraapril talks about, and I never will.
The reason for my cousin is that she kept telling people Club Penguin is boring, which made it look like it really is boring. When she quit, many of my friends did too. 3 months later, its only me (only because I have a year long membership going) 2 friends from my school, and 3 friends I met on Club Penguin who dont get on very often. I used to have 27 best friends, which fell to 5.
Its negative energy thats making people believe Club Penguin isn't a fun website. I've ignored all that and I think Club Penguin is still the most fun virtual world out there.

I hardly like Disney but you gotta give them credit! They did a pretty good job on Club Penguin and if it wasn't for Disney, Club Penguin wouldn't be here. Some people say Club Penguin doesn't treat Non members fair, that's true. But if they spoiled Non members like they do members, people would stop buying memberships and without money, Club Penguin wouldn't be able to pay for their own game!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Disney SAVED Club Penguin!!! It says on rsnail's RocketSnail Website! Without Disney, Club Penguin wouldn't even exist! Club Penguin was losing money and Disney decided to help so Disney bought Club Penguin!
ReplyDeleteYou guys that say Club Penguin stinks are wrong by 1 million miles! I'll tell you why! As Jr said, Club Penguin has made changes so that it's better. P.S.A wasn't really that good (well, it was until E.P.F.). Pet Shop has changed and that's a big margin of growth! Who honestly cares if Club Penguin bring back parties? It's for the people that are new to Club Penguin, who have no knowledge of it! So maybe you should stop thinking about your penguin (not directed at JR) and start thinking about others!
