New to Club Penguin? I bet you just wish, at least one of these blogs, would walk you step by step on the game. Not just tips and hints on what is going on, but the actual game. Well, Lebron Jr 23 is here to help, with his official Club Penguin guide! First what you need to know is that Club Penguin is just a game. You can earn "coins", through "mini games", in Club Penguin. With your coins, you can buy things such as clothes, furniture items, and new igloos. Your igloo is where you live. Make sure you are a member though, or you will not be able to purchase much. Now let's get into the guide, but first...
New To Club Penguin? - Guide For The New Player
At this point, you should know what coins are. How many you have, will be listen on your playercard, just like this. The tab you see on the right can open up too. All you have to is click on it. It will open up your clothes, background (What is behind the penguin), and pins (The castle you see at the top left. Pins are hidden every so often, and can be anywhere on the island. Use my pin tracker, to find it easy!)
Next, we will take a look at other peoples playercards. I have two examples, a friend, and a random penguin. Let's take a look at the random penguin first!
The first button is the add button. When you click this, a message will be sent to that penguin. If they accept, a message will be sent back to you, informing you of the add, and the penguin will now be on your buddy list. Next we have the envelope. This allows you to send postcards to the penguin. It only cost 10 coins, and it is a cool way to say hello! This next button, is the ignore button. This will stop them from being able to talk to you. The last button, will report them to higher Club Penguin authority. Now let's take a look at what are friends will look like!
The first button (On the left), will take boots off of my buddy list. Forever. The next button, (Not highlighted because he is not online) will let me see where Boots is. He has to be on the same server as you as well for this to work. The next button takes you to Boots's igloo, and the rest of the buttons have already been described to you above. Now that you know the basics of the game, let's get into Mascots. Club Penguin has many different celebrity penguins that visit the island. These penguins visit at random times, and you will usually be notified of their presence, in the Club Penguin times. When you find a mascot, you can click on their player card, and receive a background. Let's start off with my personal favorite, Rockhopper.
Rockhopper is a penguin that sails the seas of Club Penguin. He visits Club Penguin frequently on his ship called the Migrator. The Migrator will we located at the beach! Make sure to step on ship because you are sure to find some treasures. You can learn more about Rockhopper, by reading his journal in the Book Room. Whenever the ship is docked, be on the lookout. This means Rockhopper is on the island. I will also have a tracker on the front of my website when he is here, so don't worry! Use my official tracking page for tips.
Aunt Arctic, the Club Penguin Newspaper writer. All of the stories you read, are made by this person right here! Be on the look out for Aunt Arctic during the Penguin Play Awards. (March) That is usually the only time of the year she is on. I will also have a tracker on the front of my website when she is here, so don't worry! Use my official tracking page for tips.
Gary is the official inventor for the secret agents of Club Penguin. He has invented things such as the jet pack and the clock at the snow forts. He makes most of his appearances, at thePenguin Play Awards, and the Halloween party. He can also be seen in Club Penguin missions. I will also have a tracker on the front of my website when he is here, so don't worry! Use my official tracking page for tips.
D.J Cadence is a disk jockey that was discovered in the night club. She has breeded two games that have come to the night club, and she can be found in the dance game. She made her first appearance at the dance-a-thon party, and visits for the Penguin Play Awards. She can be on at any time and you will be most likely notified first in the club penguin times. I will also have a tracker on the front of my website when she is here, so don't worry! Use my official tracking page for tips.
The Club Penguin band was discover during the music jam. They are always playing at the ice burg, unless they are on break. When they are on break, they will most likely be found at their lounge or around the island. Make sure to get a V.I.P pass, so you can get into their lounge. The Penguin Band also make occasional visits for the Penguin Play Awards. I will also have a tracker on the front of my website when she is here, so don't worry! Use my official tracking page for tips.
Sensei, the founder of Card Jitsu. Sensei is the most mysterious penguin in all the island. He trains all of the Ninja penguins, and gives us our belts, on our quest to the black belt. Sensei has most recently introduced us to Card Jitsu Fire. Sensei is usually on during Card Jitsu events. I will also have a tracker on the front of my website when she is here, so don't worry! Use my official tracking page for tips. Next, let's take a look at the special roles you can have in Club Penguin.
Ninjas are secret penguins trained by master Sensei. You have to play Card Jitsu in order to gain your belts and become a top Ninja.
Secret agents are like, real life secret service. They base in the "HQ" located in the dressing room of the Sport Shop. These agents are very secretive, and a test must be passed before you can be admitted. Go try to be one today!
You can become a tour guide at the Ski Village. You will be asked to take a quiz, proving your knowledge of Club Penguin. When you are a tour guide, you can walk the island and give tours to all of your penguin buddies. I have a guide on my home page side bar. Make sure to take a look.
If you are ready to create another penguin, you are sure to realize something new. In fact, the whole process has been made easier and more "kid friendly". As you will first notice, Club Penguin has cut down on the steps. They are also using more pictures. The old sign up page was kind of boring and full of text. You will notice that this one is colorful and full of images. To get started, let's select "Create a Penguin".
Once you are satisfied with all of your information, and you have clicked "Next", you will be taken to an email page. This page is telling you that your penguin needs to be activated. Once you activate your penguin, you can log on to Club Penguin. Make sure to ask your parents for permission in advance!
Once you are activated, you can log into Club Penguin. You will notice that when you sign up for the first time, they will give you a brief introduction to Club Penguin. You may notice that you start out in a room that is normally not available. Isn't that cool?
A new map has arrived on Club Penguin today! Isn't that awesome? A new map was definitely in need for Club Penguin. You will immediately notice the difference in quality. The old Club Penguin map has been around since the beginning of Club Penguin. Obviously, a few minor improvements and additions have been made, but this is the obviously the biggest change we have seen thus far to the map on Club Penguin. To get started, let's first take a look at the new map and old map
One thing that really stands out in a positive way with me, is the brand new "map key." This key is going to make things a lot easier for new users. It automatically points out everything you need to know for certain categories. The categories on the new Club Penguin map are, Games, Places, Shops, and Pets. If you would like to return to the full map and exit out of a category, simply click on the category again.
You may also notice that the Dojo is no longer a "hidden" room. The only room at the moment that doesn't highlight is the Iceberg. I think Club Penguin knew that would be an important thing to keep a secret. Let's take a look at the games portion of the map!
Next, let's take a look at the "Places" category. Notice that when "Places" is selected, all of the major areas on Club Penguin are highlighted. All of the rooms are the same as they use to be. Make sure to take a look at the pond and tress though. Could this be a new room that is on the way? I have circled the area mentioned above in the photo below.
The next category on the map is "Shops". This will show you all of the major shopping areas of Club Penguin from Sports to Music. I decided to click on the fishing button and it took me to the Ski Lodge. Not only did it do that, but it actually showed me where I can purchase that item. Club Penguin has set up an "arrow system". The blue arrow you will see in the Ski Lodge photo, is an arrow that I put in the picture. Check it out..
The next category on the map is "Pets". Does that sound funny to you? Because it does to me. We can only adopt Puffles right now, so why would Club Penguin say "Pets". Maybe some new pets are on the way to Club Penguin! I find it hard to believe that puffles alone, would have their own category on the map.
I have for sure not been getting around the island easier, but maybe that is because the map is new. But, I am not getting around any slower. It is a mutual thing for me. The good thing though, is that the new artwork is simply phenomenal on the new map. Wouldn't you agree? Leave a comment on your thoughts!
